Just empty words?

March 11, 2010

Harmless? Just parody? Hilarious?
Or a serious threat?

My personal opinion? Even if these are just empty words, this threat has crossed a line on so many levels that I cannot empathize with this person in any way. I hope Twitter finally takes action against that impostor and that the authorities check him out.

Edit: Apparently, Twitter finally deleted his account. He is gone.

IMDB Jensen’s Message Board

March 6, 2010

The “superfan” aka the Wares are posting on Jensen’s IMDB message board. It would be much appreciated if people who have IMDB accounts could PLEASE help remove some of her posts of comments.

Here is the link to her profile on IMDB

http://www.imdb.com/user/ur22360344/boards/profile/

How to get her messages deleted are 3 easy steps.

1. Select a post she wrote and go to it.

2. Click on report user.

3, That will take you to a page to report the user and why. There is a scroll down list and the easiest one to use is “Poster is a troll”

We would appreciate your help in removing her posts from Jensen’s board, as the board tends to be more about Jensen the actor and his work or him on Supernatural. Thank you in advance for your help.

The Real Matt Cohen

February 26, 2010

Twitter User @mattcohen4real is in fact the real deal. Amy Gumenick confirmed this (apologies for not having the link to the regarding tweet), and also this twitpic Matt posted speaks for itself.

This is worth mentioning since many people are being sceptic and even assume he might be an impostor.

One down… (updated: two down!)

February 21, 2010

The iGossip Article about Stephanie Ware has finally been flagged for containing false information and is removed.

Among many others, I have been writing to site admins and flagging articles too. If you want to help (the more complaints the better) feel free to use – completely or partially – the following e-mail I’ve composed. Read the rest of this entry »

What fandompolice really wants

February 20, 2010

Reading the recent comments to the “Who are the true fans?” article, I believe there are some severe misunderstandings. It would take a great amount of time to answer to each comment directly, and some of them did have similar arguments, so I’m doing it here in a combined statement.

Why name myself “police”? Read the rest of this entry »

Who are the true fans?

February 18, 2010

Ever since Clif Kosterman has joined Twitter and ever since I have started this blog (and got a matching twitter account) there has been a group of people that has reacted with a lot of criticism towards us. They claim that ‘the majority’ of fans feels embarrassed by Clif and those supporting him, that fighting against posers is silly and pointless, that we should get lives, that Clif only wants a piece of Jared and Jensen’s fame, and so forth. Current and new fakers

February 14, 2010

Ever since Clif Kosterman has joined twitter there has been a slight increase of new fakers. Most of them are merely making fun of him and the people they are impersonating (in a more or less rude way). They’re sort of amusing and very obvious, so nothing to worry about. Yet worth mentioning just in case there might be any confusion (although I doubt anyone will take them seriously).

They are:

@GennyCortese
@thehorselisper
@EltaDanneel
@bodylard4jandj
@clifklosterman
@steviemeatie
@FanDumbPolice
@fanduhmpolice

And wow, I have my own fakers. I’m flattered.

More friends

February 1, 2010

While I’ve focused on Twitter, mainly because that’s my territory, there are impostors on other social networks as well.

Here’s a new “Stop the Impostors” Cause on Facebook that I would like to promote. If you are a facebook user please join that group and show your support.

An open letter to impersonators and the Twitter management

January 28, 2010

After talking to Robin from mishasminions.com about the faker issue and what could be done, I wrote an open letter and she kindly published it on her blog. In the letter, I called upon the Twitter management to finally take some action against these impostors and upon the fakers themselves, telling them that we are not tolerating them any longer.

We, the fans of Supernatural and of Jared and Jensen, are sick of fakers, imposters and haters that put us in a bad light. It is our intention to get those fakers banned from all messaging platforms (such as Twitter, Facebook and Myspace) and online communities because we’ve had enough! We will not tolerate being fooled, harassed and insulted any longer!

Find the full letter on The Misha’s Minions Blog. Please read, sign and forward the letter.

We still need more attention for that letter, especially from any sort of official sites/accounts (CW, Buddy TV, journalist blogs etc). If you know a way to contact anyone of bigger influence than I please help us spread this message.

In the meantime, I want to thank those that have already signed and commented on the letter. Some of the comments have been really good and showed how fed up we are with the fakers.

Good work so far! Thank you!

Why @SexyJensenLOL might not be just an amusing faker

January 28, 2010

Some of you might be amused by the fact that so many people fall for impersonators, and as long as those impersonators don’t harass and insult others constantly, you may be right.

However, in the case of Twitter user @SexyJensenLOL we might be dealing with something more than just a regular faker. He is said to have lured a young girl into meeting him. Find the whole story here at this Livejournal entry.

There is no hard proof on this story, so each of us have to decide whether to believe the girl or not. Read the rest of this entry »
