Revised 02/20/2010
Fandompolice is a blog created to expose impersonation and harrassment of the severe kind that either violates user policies or has illegal characteristics in the Supernatural fandom.
Over the course of the past few months, impostors of Supernatural actors have increased drastically, especially on the social network Twitter. While impersonation in itself may be entertaining to some people, to some extent, it has clearly gone too far. Some of those impostors have created their accounts in the clear purpose to deceive others and/or committed libel against other fans or the actors.
The only purpose of fandompolice is to expose such accounts for education purpose and demand these accounts being removed from the concerning social networks if they clearly violate the terms of use (threats and identity theft).
Furthermore, Fandompolice will provide links to other sites of interest, such as other blogs about the issue, people that have been active, or official reactions. Use the tag section to find the entries you are looking for.
Please note while we call ourselves ‘police’ we cannot take any legal means against these impostors unless they impersonate one of us. All we can do is find and expose them and use journalistic means against them. We are here to collect information like any respectable newspaper would do.
Also, the term ‘police’ is not to be understood that this blog represents fandom and/or the actors officially. Neither will fandompolice go after things and people that may be considered rude by widely accepted moral standards, parodies or real person roleplaying accounts.
In short: the name ‘police’ is not to be understood too seriously.

Hi,
I think you’re doing a good job here and it’s sad in itself that it has to be done at all. The only thing I’m not really glad about is the name “fandompolice”, because 99,5 % of the fandom don’t need policing.
While washing my dishes I thought about all those fakers and especially about our dear Stephanie. The most annoying thing about her is not the articles she’s writing, but that so many people are reading them (and even a few believing them). When I first searched the net for Supernatural and Jensen Ackles news, I came across the name Stephanie Ware around day #3. Of course we should tell everyone that she’s delusional and try to get her blocked and her comments removed, but we can also try another approach. Let’s go to those communities, boards etc. she is using and post there as well, using the keywords she used and spreading true information. If a significant number of fans do that her comments should not appear on the first page of Google anymore and new fans will not be easily tricked into reading her insane stuff. Don’t know if this will work, but we could give it a try.
you’re delusional if you think this is helping ANYTHING
